Busy Bee
Whoa! I thought school made the time pass by quickly. This rotation makes school look like an ancient tortoise. I arrive at the hospital on most mornings by 7:30. For the first 2 or 3 hours, we look up all our patients’ data (labs, complaints, medications) and then we make sure that all the medication is dosed right for the patient and is not harmful. After this is done, we start rounds with the physicians where we will tell them any recommendations on the patients. I find most MDs to be extraordinarily pompous (worse than lawyers) and horrible to deal with on a daily basis. I am waiting for one of them to change my mind. I feel like I am learning a great deal at this site and I cannot believe that I am half way done with Winchester Medical Center on Friday.
Two weekends ago, Eric, Beth, and Ally came down to visit us. We had a really nice time with them here. Ally is a doll and I cannot believe how fast she is growing. Beth has the cutest little belly. Beth and I took Ally to the park on Saturday morning while the boys golfed. Ally is quite the dare-devil and full of energy. It is no wonder that Beth is so skinny. Later that evening, Britt and Bob brought Brie over and she got to meet Ally. It was so neat to see them play together. I have pictures that I need to resize and post. I am not sure how long that will take me though.
I am sure many of you remember the chaos that was occurring this time last year. Matt and I managed to put up with each other for an entire year of marriage.
Again, where did time go and why does it seem like just yesterday, I was panicking about the final details of the wedding? We have a lovely day planned for Saturday.
