Viva Las Vegas!
Today, I depart for Las Vegas. I am leaving Matt home alone with the animals. The trip is for a pharmacy conference which will hopefully shed some light on the many residencies that exist. Pretty much every residency in pharmacy that exists will be at Vegas this week. Vegas is expected to be overwhelmed with approximately 20,000 pharmacists from Sunday until Wednesday. Now do not get me wrong, I am sure Las Vegas will be plenty fun, but I think I would prefer the conference to be more local. I feel that I could accomplish more for less money if it were say, in Baltimore. I hope to see a little of Vegas while I am out there. I bet that this trip will show me that I want to return soon with Matt. I have a ton of classes and what not booked during Sunday through Wednesday and will be returning Friday.
I was lucky enough to have two very kind friends, Matt and Rebecca. They offered to allow me to stay with them at The Flamingo. Rebecca is the current VA resident and hence, gets the hotel for free!!! She is kind and is not charging me to stay with them. I lucked out and am sure that this is the only way that I would have been able to afford to go on this trip.
Wish me luck, more so with the whole residency thing than the gambling thing. Maybe I will win a bunch of money though, you never know.
