Smoke Haze!?!?!?
Today marks the last day that I will ever take a final exam. Whew! I am so excited to be done with this chapter of my life. It is not that I don’t like school because I actually do. I am just glad to be finished after 7 years of it. As many of you know, Matt and I are headed to Daytona beach this weekend. I must admit to not really paying attention to the rest of the World as I have been stuck in study mode all week. After my last final, I called the resort to verify that we have reservations and the woman politely asked me if I was aware of the forest fires and the amount of smoke smog that is covering Daytona. WHAT??? She proceeded to inform me of these nasty forest fires that were blowing smoke and smoke particulates into the Daytona beach area. She said that there were a few hours each day for over a week that people could not go outside due to the haze and smell. How wonderful. I cannot tell you how excited I was to just go and be at a beach and do nothing with Matt. Matt and I did some research online and called a few beach resorts to get their opinion of just how bad this smoke haze is. It sounds like it has been pretty rough for the last few days, but that it may be looking better. Since we paid for this trip already and I have no other time off until December, I think we are going to take our chances and head down. We bought a 7-day pass to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure Theme Park. If worse comes to worse, we can stay inside and just go to the theme park everyday. 
I am holding out hope that it won’t be so bad. I will let everyone know about how it goes.

Don’t let the smoke block out the sun and fun. I’m so proud of you for being
deicated and devoted to your education. You both deserve a break, so have
alot of fun. Love Dad
