Brie’s First Birthday and A New Puppy
Yesterday was a very busy day. We started the day with Brie-bug because it was her 1st birthday! Brittany and Bob threw a massive party for the occasion. Brie looked beautiful as ever and I think she had a wonderful time. Matt and I left Brie’s party to go pick up Eve. We already knew what "color" puppy we were picking up earlier that morning. Matt and I had picked out our top three puppies: Miss white, Miss Brown, and Miss Blue. We were third in line to pick up the puppy, meaning that two people picked out their puppies before us. Wouldn’t it figure; the first lady picked out Miss White and the second family picked out Miss Brown. So, it kind of made our choice pretty easy. Matt and I actually picked blue when we went to visit the puppies when they were one week old. At the time, she looked like all the other puppies except she had this cute little button like nose. She continued to grow and she developed this really sweet personality. It just seemed right that she was the one we took home. Last night was a bit rough. Eve was distraught and she did a lot of whimpering. I think she missed her family. Everytime we took her outside, she would promptly plop down on the grass and try to sleep. I think it will take awhile for her to get used to us and our house and the rest of the pets. Bentley was very unfriendly to her and he swatted at her eager puppy hellos. These swats hurt Eve’s feelings and it made Matt and I feel terrible. Anyhow, I am sure the blog will be full of puppy adventure stories.

I second Eric’s request- while the dinky pic you sent me of Eve was quite adorable, I will be needing some substantial footage of her cuteness till I meet her! Pronto missy!
