We are officially outnumbered!
A truth was made last night: as of this Saturday; Matt and I will have an "animal house." This is how it happened. We have the two cats. I’ve wanted a ferret for awhile now. I think they are the cutest little things ever and they entertain me. Matt and I haven’t really jumped on the ball to get one; we’ve been a little busy getting married and all. So, last night, I was at the pet store. I was there to pick up puppy food and leave. Simple, right? The center aisle has the ferret cages and when I walked by, there was this little ferret who was flinging himself at the glass to get my attention. When I stopped to look down at him, he attempted to climb the glass and he was so excited to see my attention that his little body was shaking. So, stupid me; I get the pet store attendant to let me hold the little guy. Long story short; I liked him a good bit. As much as I wanted to, I didn’t surprise Matt with a new
little furball. I waited for him to get home to ask him if he was OK with the idea. We both agreed that if we were going to do another little creature, now would be the best time. Eve probably won’t be a little dog
and it is our hope to get them both as babies so that they get along. I’ll let you know how that works out. So, our new little guy, Cooper, is seemingly pretty content. Mercedes is pissed at us, as you can imagine. And, Bentley is very curious, although I am not sure if he wants to eat Cooper or play with him. Last night, we had Cooper out on the floor and Bentley was watching him sniff around and Cooper decided to launch onto Bentley’s back. If I didn’t get so freaked out that Bentley would attack Cooper, it would have been wildly amusing. As of tomorrow night, we will have 4 animals in our house, outnumbering Matt and I by 2! 2 of the animals will be under 10 weeks old. Matt and I were joking that we have this many animals already and no kids around to harass us for pets. I think a farm-ish house might be in order as the next place of residence.

Ferrets are evil. I used to have one named Casanova, and if you let him out of his cage at night, he would try to eat your toes while you slept. No joke. He was not friendly at all!
Hope it goes well with all the new creatures.
