Yesterday started out a little rough for a birthday. I had class from 8 until 5, meaning that I was gone from 7 until 6. I had a test in pharmacokinetics – Yeah, happy birthday to me. But, then I got home!!!! Matt had a gift bag and card waiting on my arrival. I got a spa package for a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure at the Golden Orchid Spa and Salon. (I love that place) Then, I was told to get ready to go out to dinner. We were sitting around waiting to leave and my two favorite girls in the World walked in my house –
Brittany and Brie. Bob came too!
They went out to eat with us at LJs and the Kat Lounge. This is a very chic restaurant with a lot of character that is in
Hagerstown of all places! The night started with a raspberry martini made just right. Upon sitting down at the table that had "Happy Birthday" confetti on it. The menu on the inside said February 16th – Happy Birthday Beth! While I was goggling at Brie and deciding on what to eat, Matt slipped another gift on the table. Me, being clueless, did not see it for about 5 minutes. When I finally looked down, I saw only a card from Matt. Being that Matt normally gets me two cards for every holiday, this wasn’t unusual. The card was sweet and I smiled, thanked him and went back to goggling at my Brie Bug. About 2 minutes later, I realized that there was a black velvet necklace box on the table under where the card was. I opened up and found the necklace that I saw way back in November that I fell in love with. The necklace is perfect for the wedding!! I was so excited to get the necklace. We had a great time at LJ’s with WONDERFUL food and even better company. After dinner, Matt and I met Jeremy out at the bar that Matt and I met at (The Corner Pub). We ended up at a few other places before we finally shut down Burhans Station. I felt rough most of today, but what a perfect birthday.
